TORONTO — Explosions rocked downtown Detroit this week — but no one was injured and police aren’t looking for suspects.
The blasts were set off as cameras rolled on scenes for the still-untitled fourth chapter in the Transformers franchise.
Detroit — just across the river from Windsor, Ont. — is standing in for Hong Kong in the movie, which stars Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci and Kelsey Grammer.
Michael Bay is back in the director’s chair.
You Tube videos posted this week show Detroit’s transformation into Hong Kong as well as the controlled explosions.

Production of the movie is also taking place in Texas, Utah and Illinois.
The first Transformers movie, released in 2007, earned $710 million worldwide. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen raked in $836 million in 2009 and Transformers: Dark of the Moon in 2011 grossed a whopping $1.1 billion.
